Tietz's Piggly Wiggly's are family owned and recognized, reputable premier grocers within the communities we serve:
Sheboygan North, Sheboygan South, Howards Grove, Two Rivers, Manitowoc and Plymouth.
This position reports to the Deli Manager.
Assistant Manager assumes Manager duties in the absence of the Deli Manager.
Duties to include monitoring the daily operations of the Deli Department, delegating tasks to staff, supervising the food orders and services, maintaining adequate stock inventory, and finding ways to minimize production costs without compromising quality service.
Manage daily activities of employees to improve sales performance.
Supervise employees in various duties such as cooking, serving, packaging, and operating counters.
Manage product storage, maintenance and rotation activities to avoid any damages or spoilages.
Assist in preparation of inventory.
Supervise and mentor Employees on daily basis.
Assist with H/R in screening, interviewing, hiring and training associates.
Provide training to Employees on company policies and sales guidelines, to include OSHA and Foodborne Disease Illnesses.
Respond to queries and complaints from both customer and employee.
Ensure that products are properly labeled with prices and dates.
Monitor and maintain stock inventory levels to avoid over and under stock problems.
Interact politely with clients while solving problems related to sales, dissatisfied service and issues regarding store operation.
Operate all food preparation machines and equipment.
Receive, unload and stock the food items.
Ensure that facility is maintained neat, clean and safe.
