6K a year POSITION PURPOSE Create authentic, personalized, and engaging campus experiences for prospective student visits.
Plan and carry out memorable recruitment events for prospective students and their families.
Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and continuous training of the admissions ambassador & junior counselor team to deliver exceptional hospitality and genuine care to prospective students and their families.
Promote and support university-wide initiatives related to the traditional undergraduate student experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Coordinate all aspects of the campus experience for prospective students Create personalized, engaging campus visit experiences for prospective students Build strong affinity with prospective students through tailored experiences by strategically connecting students with the campus community Communicate with prospective students and their respective admission counselor/athletic coach during the visit planning phase Coordinate all aspects of the admission ambassadors program Oversee the management, recruitment, hiring, and continuous training of the admission ambassador team to deliver exceptional hospitality and genuine care to prospective students and their families; Coordinate the scheduling of admission ambassadors for personalized and group campus experiences Coordinate student work study and cooperative education positions Train students who will welcome families to Nash as they arrive for admissions visits, provide campus tours, assist counselors in student outreach, maintain accurate records in admissions software, coordinate campus visit itineraries, answering switchboard calls and routing them to the correct offices, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
SPECIALIZED KNOW-HOW & SKILLS Qualification Required:
Strong organizational skills and an aptitude to assess the needs of, and effectively communicate with, traditionally-aged students diverse in ability, background, and academic interests.
Ability to form constructive working relationships with traditional students.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in commonly used technologies (e.
g.
, Microsoft Office) and an ability to master new software applications as needed.
Qualifications Preferred:
Experience working with traditional students in admissions or other student service environments.
Working knowledge of the Jenzabar software platform and a CRM platform.
Working knowledge of print, web and social media platforms.
Ability to interpret and abide by Lakeland University's values, mission, policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT No or very limited exposure to physical risk; No or very limited physical effort required; Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Must be able to sit or stand at a computer 6 to 7 hours a day when in the office Requires non-traditional work hours including events and weekends.
