Packaging Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Remove raw materials from packaging, feed into machinery at correct quantity per specifications.
- Inspect cheese for mold or foreign substances; segregate and clean cheese as needed.
- Set up, maintain, and perform production changeovers, sanitation, and assembly as required.
- Perform in-process quality checks on the production line and accurately complete required paperwork.
- Operate packaging and processing equipment including manual and electric pallet jacks.
- Inspect, box, and palletize packaged product, scan with data collection device for correct processing.
- Keep supplies and ingredients for production line stocked.
Packaging Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education (GED) and 3-6 months of prior relevant manufacturing experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs-50% of the shift.
- Standing 100% of the shift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and repetitive environment.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to work in hot or cold environments.
