Compliance Admin Assistant

Van Horn Automotive Group is looking for a Full-Time Compliance Administrative Assistant.
Requirements for the position:
Knowledge of vehicle sales and documentation terminology and practices.
Knowledge of statutory and regulatory framework of vehicle sales.
Knowledge of spreadsheets and database software.
Knowledge of general record keeping and filing systems.
Knowledge of vehicle sales documentation.
Ability to carefully analyze documents in light of regulatory requirements.
Ability to compare data from a variety of sources for accuracy and completeness.
Ability to detect errors.
Ability to understand and apply legal and regulatory framework to sales practices.
Ability to follow, apply, interpret, and explain instructions and/or guidelines.
Ability to determine work priorities.
Ability to make decisions and take appropriate actions.
Ability to meet schedules and deadlines of the work area.

Summary:
Essential Job Duties:
The Compliance Admin Assistant will assist the General Counsel's office with daily compliance-audit activity. The audit activity shall include the review of "deal jackets" received from the various Van Horn Automotive Group stores. The review is a thorough review of each document pertaining to the sale of the vehicle and various ancillary products sold to customers. The assistant will also aid in the physical audit of stores on no less than a quarterly basis, auditing the advertisement and display of vehicles on the lot.
Work is performed by applying knowledge of the regulatory and legal framework governing automobile sales and using spreadsheets for data entry based on outcome of the audit.
Determines content and assembles data in order to prepare daily reports for review.
Composes routine letters and reports using instructions or guidelines of the work area.
Communicates effectively and efficiently with the General Counsel.
Explains appropriate work instructions to other employees.
Interprets and applies instructions and guidelines to resolve work problems.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
