Companion Care Specialist Responsibilities

  • Provide support, mentor, and guide, and assist with daily living activities

  • Enhance the overall health safety and welfare of the individuals supported by encouraging and promoting healthy choices

  • Help develop strong life skills by assisting with personal hygiene, social and communication skills, and community integration.

  • Promote self-respect, relationship building, and independence.

Companion Care Specialist Requirements

  • High school diploma, equivalent, or three years of equivalent work experience

  • Team player and reliable

  • Exceptional communication and problem solving skills with the ability to maintain self-composure and self-control under stressful conditions

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment TB test and health screen, caregiver background check and drive check.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
